BLUE LAGOON

The Blue Lagoon Beach is located on the east side of Bali and it takes about 1.5 hours drive from Kuta. The beach is really beautiful such a hidden paradise, it is clean and with clear water therefore it is easy to see underneath of the sea when visitors are doing snorkeling/diving. Not many people/population are living in the area makes Blue Lagoon is really charm and perfect place for relaxing. Blue Lagoon is close to Padangbai harbour. Padangbai is a major harbour for ferries to Lombok as well as for smaller boats to Nusa Penida. It is a very picturesque village, with semi-circular hills surrounding a sparkling blue bay.Blue Lagoon Beach is a pleasant, small covey beach, great for snorkeling.. The coral reef is right up to the shore and is very nice. Best way is to enter on the far left side, where there is a coral-less canal that leads to the snorkling site. The beach is easily accessible. To reach Blue Lagoon Beach, head east on foot over the prominent headland at the eastern end of the main bay. Follow the direction signs to reach Blue Lagoon. However is highly advised for those are wading through the water sometime can be frustrating and dangerous due to an abundance of coral and submerged rocks.

LOCATION

Blue lagoon beach is located in the eastern part of Bali island in Karangasem regency, approximately 2 hours from Denpasar. It takes 2 hours 30 minutes drive from Kuta, Legian and Seminyak. Located nearby Padang Bai harbor. Another tourist destinations are located nearby this area are : Kertagosa, Tirtagangga and Candidasa.

Blue Lagoon Beach is a great beach for snorkeling & diving. The coral reef is truly beautiful. However it is highly advised to remember basic safety rules, such as never to snorkel alone and swim too far to the place well unknown. Several small shops in the main street of Padang Bai rent snorkeling equipment. They can also organize traditional jukung boats to bring you to the best spots and greatly increase your safety. On a calm day is possible to meet a lot of fishes and great visibility.
